This was just fantastic! We will not forget this experience and time spent in Xenia. What a peacefull oasis at Hora Sfakion- we will definitelly return here some day. Thank you VERY much for everything!

From 1989, when I first came to Chora Sfakion and stayed in Xenia Hotel, this place became my personal paradise and the only place where my heart and my soul may have a real rest. As no car and no motorcycles disturb the pieceful atmosphere, you can sit for hours on your terrace or balcony and enjoy the breathtaking view over this wonderful little village and the pictureque harbour. In 1995 I decided to live on Crete and made family in Heraklion. Still my family and me are very happy when we find time for a weekend to go down to the southern coast to our paradise, even if its just for one night. Vanna and Georgos always welcome us in Xenia Hotel as family members, what makes it even more easy to feel so comfortable and happy!!! And not only them, but all the inhabitants of this special village are extremely friendly and welcome people from all over the world, making them feel home, so that most of them come back over the years!!! We just pass by Xenia and took all informations needed. We didn't stay but we will next year. Hora Sfakion is all we need on Crete, we realize that on the way back from samaria Gorge. That's the smallest but most complete And compact coastal village we saw until now. Loutro is also nice but it has no access by car and we like freedom. See you next year!

We agreed both (me & my wife) that this is the most complete small unit we saw on Crete. Xenia has it all!! We stayed three days at Chora Sfakion, at Xenia, and we regret our stay at Paleochora previous days.. Xenia Hotel is just perfect for us- car park, direct access to the beach (Vryssi beach) or few meters to the boat for Ilingas beach and if you really want to walk there's so many possibilities for walking and hiking in the area- it's amazing. Chora Sfakion is a tinny coastal village but it has it's own Bakery, Supermarket, Newspaper or Souvenir shop and several restaurants. Xenia Restaurant is good enough for distinguished tastes and everything was superb especially real FRESH fish on daily base and local lamb. SUPERB!

After several experiences all over Greece we found our "refuge" here on Crete. Particulary at Hora Sfakion and Xenia we feel like at home and we found exactly what we ever expected. Home atmosphere, cleanless, peace, accessibility, friendly atmosphere.., quality accommodation first of all is of crucial importance for us and we are enjoying that right now. We are at Xenia from 8 April and despite of the date here is a Summer! Evenings are just magical and we will repeat our vacation here- definitely! Hora Sfakion is just something else.. Great!
